When a file will not upload

Size limits

They differ by feature, because the material does.

Reference documents get the largest allowance because clinical guidelines run long.

Formats

Mostly PDFs and images. Two exceptions worth knowing:

• Coding standards must be a CSV, and nothing else is accepted. See Preparing your coding standard file.
• A fillable PDF form has to be a real fillable PDF with form fields, not a scan or a flat document. See Setting up a fillable PDF form.

Usual reasons an upload is rejected

• It is not really that format. A spreadsheet saved with a .csv name, or a document renamed to .pdf, fails even though it opens fine on your machine. Export a fresh copy from the original application.
• It is password protected. A locked PDF cannot be read.
• It is too large, usually a scan at unnecessarily high resolution. Re-export at a lower setting or split it.
• You have reached the allowance on your plan. See Your Rhazes usage and limits.

It uploaded but then errored

That is processing rather than upload, and it is a different problem with its own fix.
