Producing documents and forms

End a Rhazes workflow with a finished clinical document or a completed PDF form, in the format you need to file it or send it.

Updated

Documents

A Document step generates a document from one of your templates, using everything the workflow has gathered by that point. Because it uses your templates, automating a document does not mean rebuilding your format. See Templates.

Choosing the file type

The result can come out as a PDF, a Word document or plain text.

Word when the document is going into another system or needs editing by someone else. PDF when it is going into a record as it stands and should not be altered. Plain text when something else is going to consume it.

PDF forms

A PDF form step fills one of your fillable forms the same way, from what the run gathered. The fields it fills, and any values you pinned as fixed, come from how you set the form up. See Setting up a fillable PDF form.

More than one output

A workflow can produce several documents in one run. An admission workflow that writes both the clerking note and the letter to the GP is one run, not two, and the two are consistent with each other because they came from the same material.

Everything produced is still a draft

Automation makes the work happen without you. It does not make it correct without you, and a document produced unattended has had less human attention than one you watched being written, not more.

Check the specifics hardest: doses, units, laterality, dates and names. See Reviewing output before you use it.
