Clearing your browser cache without losing work

Clear your browser cache to fix a Rhazes display problem, and what to save first so you do not delete unfinished recordings.

Updated

Read this first

Unfinished consultation recordings are stored in your browser, on that device. Clearing site data deletes them, permanently, and they are not on your account to be restored from.

Before clearing anything, finish or download any recordings you still need. See Managing saved recordings.

What is safe

Everything held on your account is unaffected: chats, patients, templates, workflows, spaces, tasks, audits and documents. Clearing your browser cannot delete those.

Try the smaller things first

Clearing everything is rarely the right first move.

  1. Reload the page.
  2. Hard reload, with Ctrl+Shift+R on Windows, or Cmd+Shift+R on a Mac.
  3. Try a private window, which uses no cache and no extensions. If Rhazes works there, the cache or an extension is the problem, and now you know.
  4. Sign out and back in.

Clearing the cache

Broadly the same shape in every browser: open settings, find privacy, then clear browsing data.

  • Chrome and Edge: Settings, then Privacy and security, then Clear browsing data.
  • Firefox: Settings, then Privacy & Security, then Cookies and Site Data.
  • Safari: Settings, then Privacy, then Manage Website Data.

Choose cached images and files. Where the browser lets you clear data for one site rather than everything, do that instead, and remember it takes the recordings with it.

Clearing cookies signs you out, so have your password or provider to hand.

If clearing did not help

The problem is probably not local. See When Rhazes cannot reach the server, or email support@rhazes.ai with what you see and which browser you use.
