Dictation and transcription are different things
Rhazes has two ways of turning speech into text, and picking the wrong one loses the recording of a whole consultation.

Dictation
The microphone beside the message box. You speak, and what you said appears as text in the box for you to edit and send.
Nothing is stored as a recording. It is a faster way of typing, and that is all it is. See Dictating into the Rhazes message box.
Transcription
The transcribe button. This records a whole consultation, keeps the audio, and produces a transcript you can read, edit and turn into a note with one of your templates.

Which to use
Dictating a sentence into the box is dictation. Recording a patient encounter you intend to document afterwards is transcription. The second keeps the audio and the transcript; the first keeps neither.
