The differential is only as good as what it has to work with. A one-line presentation gets a generic list. History, examination findings, results and a linked patient record get something worth reading.
This is the single biggest thing under your control, and it is why it is worth getting the case into the chat before asking rather than adding detail afterwards.
One per message
A differential resolves to a single answer per message.
Using it
Treat it as a prompt for your own thinking, not a ranked answer. It is most useful for what it raises that you had not considered, which is exactly the part you should check hardest.
