Dear Marcus Vance,
"I hope this message finds you well. I am writing to recap the education, interventions, and monitoring addressed and put into practice during our recent sessions."
Education
- Discussed the mechanics of your right knee osteoarthritis, focusing on load management, pacing daily activities, and avoiding prolonged deep knee flexion.
- Provided the Arthritis Australia information booklet on knee osteoarthritis and a printed Physitrack home exercise program sheet (code: PT-84920).
Interventions
- Manual therapy including Grade III tibiofemoral joint mobilisations and soft tissue massage to the right quadriceps, combined with a targeted strengthening program (sit-to-stands, step-ups, and isometric wall sits).
- Reduced wall sit hold times from 45 seconds to 20 seconds and decreased step-up box height to 10 cm due to reported anterior knee discomfort following the previous session.
Monitoring
- Tracked right knee active range of motion (currently 5° to 115° flexion), Numeric Pain Rating Scale (NPRS) during weight-bearing tasks (reduced from 6/10 to 3/10), and Lower Extremity Functional Scale (LEFS) scores.
- Next in-clinic physiotherapy review scheduled for 28/05/2025 at 09:30 to reassess strength gains and progress your exercise load.
"Please contact me if you have questions or would like clarification about any of the points above. I look forward to continuing to support you as we work towards your goals."
"Kind regards," Sarah Jenkins, APAM Senior Physiotherapist
